Implication for health policy/practice/research/medical education:
Clinical approach to acute kidney injury in infants may be challenging. When pre-renal and
post-renal azotemia is ruled out and no obvious cause is found, inherited disease such as
primary hyperoxaluria should be considered and renal biopsy may be diagnostic.
